Chalk Urban Art is a spectacular mix of fine arts and entertainment.
We connect public fascination with street art and artists who love to come out of their studios to demonstrate their skills in public.
Inspired by the success of street art festivals in Europe & America, we have produced 3 of the largest urban art festivals in the Southern Hemisphere.
Our growing stable of local and international artists continues to produce unique and engaging experiences that inspire and enhance Australia’s reputation for culture and innovation.
Founder and Creative Producer is Andi Mether. Andi has created and delivered 14 pavement art festivals under the banners of ‘Chalk The Walk’ and ‘Chalk Urban Art Festival’ across Australia since 2005, including events in Sydney, Melbourne, Gold Coast, Cairns and Parramatta. She also works with the World Street Painting Festival in the Netherlands and collaborates with organisers in Germany, USA, Dubai and South Africa. Andi is driven by passion for taking art to the masses.
Ambassadors of Chalk Urban Art are urbanist, business woman and philanthropist, Lucy Hughes Turnbull AO and Australian author, barrister and filmmaker Charles Waterstreet.
Chalk is organised by Zest Events International. We are looking for more people in the arts, government and business to facilitate and leverage these growing spectacles.
